Measurement standards
The measurement and allocation standards the Converge HCA engine is being built to, and how a standard comes to be listed as implemented.
How a standard gets listed
A standard is listed as implemented only when the engine reproduces the standard's published worked examples in our test suite. Until then it is listed as in development. We do not claim certification to any standard.
Standards in the first release
| Standard | Used for | Status |
|---|---|---|
| API MPMS 11.1 | Temperature and pressure correction of liquids | In development |
| API MPMS 12.2 | Liquid meter tickets and meter proving calculations | In development |
| API MPMS 12.1.1 | Static tank quantities | In development |
| API MPMS chapters 4 and 5 | Provers, meter factors and K-factors | In development |
| AGA Report 7 | Turbine meter gas volume | In development |
| AGA Report 9 | Ultrasonic meter gas volume | In development |
| AGA Report 3 and ISO 5167-2 | Orifice gas flow | In development |
| AGA Report 8 (DETAIL) and GERG-2008 | Gas compressibility | In development |
| GPA 2172 | Gas heating value, relative density and compressibility | In development |
| ISO 6976:2016 | Calorific value, density and Wobbe index | In development |
Base conditions
Every quantity is stored with its unit and its base conditions, so a contract can use 60 °F and 14.696 psia, 15 °C and 101.325 kPa, or another pair it names. Volumes and heating values are never combined across different bases.
