HYDROCARBON ACCOUNTING
Close the month on time, and show your working.
Converge HCA is hydrocarbon accounting software that runs in a browser tab. Measurement, allocation, terminal stock, liftings, partner entitlement and the month-end close share one set of records, so every reported barrel traces back to the readings and the rule that produced it.
Converge HCA is hydrocarbon accounting software that runs in a browser tab. For operators in Nigeria and across West Africa, allocation, terminal stock, partner entitlement, PIA royalty in kind and the NUPRC monthly return share one set of records, so every reported barrel traces back to its readings.

THE PROBLEM
Month-end should not be a fire drill
Production accountants describe the same failures from operator to operator.
Logic in spreadsheets
Allocation rules live in one person’s workbook. When that person is away, nobody can explain a factor.
A late, rushed close
Readings arrive late and errors surface at month-end, so the first full look at the numbers comes days into the close.
Reconciliation gaps
Meter, allocation, terminal and partner figures disagree, and the differences are chased by email.
Hard audits
Corrections overwrite closed months, and auditors ask for inputs and approvals nobody can find.
THE APPROACH
From the meter to the regulator, on one set of records
Every reading, ticket, allocation run, cargo and approval is stored once, dated and kept. Reports are views of that record, not copies of it.
Rules you can read
Allocation methods, rounding policies and contract rules are versioned records. A run shows each node’s inputs, method, factor and formula.
Allocation every day
Allocation runs daily as provisional and at month-end as final, and each run can be compared with the last, so surprises surface early.
A hard close you can prove
Maker-checker approval locks the month, and a SHA-256 hash of the locked data is recorded. A locked period is read-only at the API and in the database.
Corrections that keep history
A prior-period adjustment never edits the original. It posts the difference to the open month and lists the partner statements and returns to refile.

CONVERGE IOMT
Modelling and accounting, one account
Converge IOMT is the integrated oil modelling tool from the same team. One Converge account signs you in to both, and the product switcher shows only the products your company holds. With both licensed, data moves between them.
Actuals
- Allocated volumes by day or month, replacing imported history in IOMT Data through an audited hand-off
- Actual production for the reserves roll-forward
- Actual volumes for economic look-backs
Models and rules
- Network nodes and links as the starting topology
- PSC and PIA royalty terms from the economics case
- The forecast, as the plan line on the dashboard
With only one product licensed, each link shows as unavailable and says why. It never fails silently. Visit Converge IOMT.
SECURITY
Built for audit, kept apart
Converge HCA runs on the same platform as Converge IOMT. How we handle data.
- A database of your ownEach company’s records sit in storage of its own.
- Segregation of dutiesEnter, approve, lock and reopen are separate permissions.
- Immutable audit logEvery change keeps before and after, who, when and why.

FAQ
Common questions
What is Converge HCA?
Converge HCA is hydrocarbon accounting software for oil and gas that runs in a browser tab. Field data, measurement, allocation, terminal stock and liftings, partner entitlement, the month-end close and regulatory reporting share one set of records. Pave Technologies makes Converge HCA, and it shares one account with Converge IOMT.
How do I get an account?
Choose business or student when you create your account. Business accounts start with a free trial of every Converge HCA module. Students sign up with their school email address, and the school must be on our approved list; if yours is missing, ask us to add it.
Do I need a separate account from Converge IOMT?
No. One Converge account signs you in to both products. Each product has its own licences and its own trial, and your company sees only the products it holds.
Who is Converge HCA for?
Production accountants, measurement engineers, commercial and lifting analysts, and the reporting leads who file with the regulator, at operators, joint-venture partners and national oil companies.
Which measurement standards does it use?
The measurement engine is being built to API MPMS chapters 4, 5, 11.1, 12.1 and 12.2, AGA Reports 3, 7, 8 and 9, ISO 5167-2, GPA 2172 and ISO 6976. We list a standard as implemented only once its published worked examples pass in our test suite, and we do not claim certifications we do not hold.
How does allocation work?
Over a date-effective network of wells, separators, meters, tanks and pipelines. Pro-rata, well-test, by-difference, fixed-share and uncertainty-based allocation can be nested across levels, and every run is kept so it can be compared with the last. See allocation.
What happens when a closed month needs correcting?
The original records stay as they were. A prior-period adjustment posts the difference to the open month and lists every partner statement and regulatory return it affects, so you know what to refile.
Does it cover Nigerian requirements?
Yes, Nigeria comes first: PIA 2021 royalty in barrels, royalty in kind and a NUPRC monthly return. NUPRC has not published its return layout, so we are confirming it before release.
How are licences counted?
Per module, with floating seats that belong to the company, the same model as Converge IOMT. The workspace, with the dashboard, asset register, periods, roles and audit log, comes with any module.
Can we get our data out?
Yes. Every record and calculation is reachable over the REST API and the MCP server, spreadsheets import with a mapping preview, and each period exports as an audit pack with its inputs, rules, runs and approvals.
