1. Lawful use only#
You must not use Converge to break any law or regulation, or to help anyone else break one. This includes laws on data protection, intellectual property, competition, securities disclosure, environmental protection and petroleum licensing.
2. Sanctions and export controls#
- Do not use or give access to Converge from a country or region under a full or country-wide embargo, or for anyone named on a sanctions list (or owned or controlled by someone who is).
- Do not use Converge or its results for any project, company or end use restricted by sanctions or export controls, including measures aimed at specific energy-sector projects or countries.
- Do not hide your location or identity (for example, with a VPN or proxy) to get around our country restrictions.
- Section 23 of the Terms of Service sets out the full commitments.
3. Security and integrity of the service#
- Do not test, scan or probe Converge for vulnerabilities, or attempt to breach its security or authentication, without our prior written permission.
- Do not access, or try to access, another customer's data, workspace or account.
- Do not interfere with or overload the service, including by denial-of-service attacks, excessive automated requests or deliberately expensive workloads meant to degrade it.
- Do not upload malware, or use custom scripts or the scripting sandbox to escape it, attack others or reach systems you are not entitled to reach.
- Do not get around seat limits, usage limits, rate limits or other technical controls.
- Do not share passwords, sessions or API keys, or let anyone else sign in as you.
Responsible disclosure#
If you find a security issue, report it to [email protected] with enough detail for us to reproduce it, and give us reasonable time to fix it before telling anyone else. Do not access or keep more data than you need to show the issue. We will not take legal action against good-faith research that follows these rules. To arrange authorised testing, contact us first.
4. Scraping, copying and building competing products#
- Do not scrape, crawl or extract content, correlations, templates or results from Converge by automated means, except through the API as documented and within your licence.
- Do not copy, reverse-engineer or decompile the software, or use it or its outputs to build or train a competing product or model.
- Do not run systematic benchmarks of Converge for publication without telling us first, so that we can confirm the setup is fair.
5. Resale and access for others#
- Do not resell, rent, lease, sublicense or time-share Converge, or offer it as a service to third parties, unless a signed agreement with us allows it.
- You may share results and reports you create with clients, partners and regulators as part of your work.
- Student accounts are for study and non-commercial academic research only. Do not use them for paid or company work.
- Do not open several free trials or accounts for the same organisation to avoid paying.
6. Using the AI Engineer#
- Review and verify every AI response before relying on it. Do not present AI output as verified engineering work without that review.
- Do not try to make the AI Engineer get around its safeguards, reveal other customers' information, or carry out actions you are not permitted to take ("jailbreaking" or prompt injection).
- Do not use it to create malware, plan attacks on infrastructure, or produce content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing or deceptive.
- Do not use it to make decisions about people that have legal or similarly significant effects.
- Follow the usage policies of the AI providers listed in our Privacy Notice, which apply to requests sent to them.
- Do not send it personal data you do not need, or data you are not allowed to share with third-party AI providers.
7. Data you upload#
- Upload only data you have the right to use, including any permissions needed from joint-venture partners, operators, laboratories, clients or regulators.
- Do not upload data in breach of a confidentiality agreement, licence or data-room rule.
- Do not upload special categories of personal data (such as health data), payment card numbers, government identity numbers or passwords to other systems.
- Do not upload data subject to export-control classification that requires a licence you do not hold.
- Do not upload content that infringes someone else's intellectual property.
8. Conduct towards others#
Do not use collaboration features, invitations, comments or email from Converge to send spam, harass anyone, impersonate a person or organisation, or mislead people about who you are.
9. What happens if this policy is broken#
- We may investigate suspected breaches, including by reviewing logs and usage records. We look at project content only where needed to investigate a serious breach or where the law requires it.
- Depending on how serious the breach is, we may warn you, remove content, revoke API keys, suspend users or accounts, or end the agreement, as the Terms of Service allow.
- We may report unlawful activity to the authorities.
10. Reporting a concern#
Report a breach of this policy, or a security issue, to [email protected]. We may update this policy; the version and effective date at the top show when.
